A
new contender in the world of rally racing
is team Mantis Works. Competing in the
first rally-prepped MINI Cooper in Canada,
they have already taken two trophies at
their first event the "Cochrane 100 Years
Rally" on March 23, 2003, and hope to continue
that trend in the events to come.
Tony
Reynolds' first introduction to the official
side of the sport was as a TSD driver in
a Jeep TJ. His spirited driving style in
a vehicle that "just shouldn't be able to
do that!" led to some entertaining corners,
however few top finishes, as his desire
for speed overcame the purpose of the rally.
It was at that point that the decision was
made to move over to Performance Rally.
Sean
McPhee is a fairly new co-driver. His first
Rally was the Thunderbird TSD, in which
he and Mantis driver, Tony Reynolds, drove
a Jeep TJ. His first performance rally was
in the Team Mantis MINI at the "Cochrane
100 Years Rally". Sean hopes to use this
season to hone his skills, and help the
team continue in their successes. |
