Darrell Panich, of Rhino
Logistics, is a recent entrant to the sport
starting his rallying career in 2001. That's
when he took up TSD rallying in which he
has done quite well. He placed in the top
10 in 2002, coming 8th overall and 3rd in
novice in the BC TSD Championship. In club
events he won 1st in Novice as well as 1st
Overall. Bighorn will be his first foray
into Performance rallying but he still hasn't
forgotten his start and is concurrently
running the BC TSD Championship during 2003.
Glyn Trafford began TSD rallying almost
two decades ago and then moved to Performance
rallying in 1997, running an Open Mazda
323 GTX. Over the years he has been as high
as 2nd in the BC TSD Championship, as well
as 5th in class in performance rallying.
He is a co-founder of BKG Motorsports, which
promotes rallysport, as well as organizes
events like Edge of the Rock. Although he'll
tell you his passion is for driving, he's
comfortable on either side of the car in
both TSD and Performance events.
This year marks the collaboration of Rhino
Logistics with BKG Motorsports to form the
Rhino Racing Group. With the very tough
and reliable Group 2 Toyota Corolla that
the crew will be driving, Trafford's wealth
of almost 20 years of rally expertise, along
with the talented driving style and enthusiasm
from Panich, will make a great new team.
During 2003 the Rhino Racing Group will
be one to watch, as the team is committed
to campaigning the Western Canada Rally
Championship. |
