Profile:
In
l996, the team entered their first performance
event in a '75 VW Rabbit, a rally sprint
on Vancouver Island. They rolled the car,
however, they managed to right it and finish
the event in 4th place. A less
than auspicious beginning, but over the
next 3 years, Third-Lane Motorsports went
on to compete in performance events throughout
Washington and Oregon. In 1998 Noah was
the First Place Driver in the US National
ClubRally Championships, Jason was the Second
Place Co-Driver. In l999, the team finished
in First Place in the SCCA's NORAC ClubRally
Championship.
In
late l999 Jason and Noah bought a 1988 VW
from a wrecker, stripped it down to the
metal and once more began to build a rally
car. The spring of 2002 saw the Third-Lane
Motorsports team return to competition driving
a daffodil yellow VW Golf.
While
the new car had some teething trouble it
came together for the 2002 Mountain Trials
Rally in Merrit, BC where Third-Lane Motorsports
finished first in Group 2. The team looks
forward to putting on a good show in the
2003 season.
