You'll

name as soon as you see its two teammates
side-by-side!
The
Wong twins are back for the 2003 season
with their brand new Mini Cooper. This year
is their most ambitious yet, as they are
planning to compete in North American SCCA
ClubRally and ProRally events throughout
the West Coast (part of the WSRC series)
as well as select CARS events.
The
Wong's interest in rally began during in
the mid 90's, when they stumbled onto a
TV broadcast of the WRC. Though they were
fascinated with the sport, the brothers
initially had no intention to get involved
in rallying outside of playing video games.
Time passed, and they spent several years
participating in autocross and TSD events
before they learned about the rallying in
North America. In 2001, the twins took a
headfirst leap into stage rallying with
an open-class Mazda 323 GTX. After competing
for 2 years with varied success, they decided
that a newer, more modern car was in order,
and settled on a natural choice - the new
Mini Cooper.
The
team is very excited about campaigning their
new Mini and hopes that it will help them
carry home some trophies in the near future. |
