| The JNM
rally team is very excited to be going to
the Pacific Forest Rally, since this is
first time for the team to participate in
the event. “If we were going to do
only one rally this year, PFR would be the
one I want to do” said Jon Nichols,
driver for the team. The JNM rally team
will be participating in the entire Canadian
Rally Championship this year.
Jon, Carl Schenk (co-driver), and the
JNM team have worked hard to make it to
PFR. They only had one week after Rally
Defi Ste Agathe/Duhamel to prepare the car
and get it to Hansen’s Forwarding
in Toronto to put it on the rally train
to Calgary.
So far this year, the team has been very
successful, finishing first in their class
in every rally they’ve completed and
even a podium finish at Rally Baie-des-Chaleurs,
earlier this year. While leading Group 2
in points, the JNM rally team is also in
the running for a second place overall in
the Canadian Rally Championship. With Carl
Schenk already in second place, tied with
Robert Labrie, and Jon Nichols in third
place, only trailing Frederic Labrie by
one point.
The JNM team will be pushing hard at the
PFR and hope to see a large spectator turn
out.
