| It's been a long rally-free summer and I'm excited to be getting back to it, both for the fun of rally and for the good friends I've made in the service area. PFR 2006 was my debut rally and we had a disappointing finish with a broken driveshaft and ball-joint on only the 2 nd stage after a relatively small drive through the ditch (then followed by a long drive back to Saskatchewan ). However, the car has finished a couple of rallies since then, including a decent finish at Rocky this spring (despite numerous mechanical gremlins that seriously limited power).
I have a big change to announce for this rally. I was very sorry to lose my previous co-driver (Heath, for those who met him), as he moved his family back to Manitoba . I am very fortunate to have John Hall of Sherwood Park, AB co-driving for me now. John has a long history with rally; I hope I don't disappoint him too horribly.
There have also been some changes to the car this summer that should help make us more competitive with the rest of the 2wd cars (all cloak-and-dagger, you know!!).
