| Rahul is a veteran of high altitude, extreme motor sport events such as the Raid de Himalaya. These Raids are typically 3000 kilometers over 7 days; altitude ranging from 6,000 feet to 18,000 feet - the HIGHEST ROADS on the planet.
He drove actively from 1999-2004 and finished on the podium every event entered. Before he earned a seat with Scion Motorsport, he had driven for BG Motorsport, East West Rescue, Mobil 1, JCT, MRF Tires, and Suzuki India .
After a hiatus of three years, Rahul entered the Mountain Trials Rally in 2007 as his FIRST competitive drive in this type of vehicle, and in this type of performance stage event. Piloting a Rocket Rally prepared Legacy/WRX he finished 2 nd in class and 6 th overall, losing a class win by three seconds.
Scion has chosen Rocket Rally Team again because of their superior level of equipment and service, fully realizing the emphasis on "team" sport.
