Profile:

Prescribed Burn Rally Team driver and founder Mark Jennings-Bates won the Western Canadian Open Class and Novice titles with an Eagle Talon in 2006. Co-driver Jennifer Daly and a new crew of dedicated volunteers joined the team in 2007, and the team replaced its 1993 Impreza with a 2004 STi earlier this year.

Outside of stage rally both the in car team members have been busy with other adventures: Mark has founded rally4life.org to raise money for charities as part of the first Canadian entry into the infamous Dakar Rally in 2011; Jennifer has been pursuing TSD driving and adventure racing. Their volunteer service crew has also had a busy summer, competing in autoX, drag races and forming the greater part of the notorious Canadian contingent at the 11 th Annual West Coast Subaru Show.

PFR is the home rally for BC's only Okanagan based rally team, and the Merritt roads are still team favourites, despite rally ending incidents on the Helmer, Princeton , Nicola and Thynne stages in the past. PFR will be the first rally for the newly expanded two car team, with Craig Ross joining as a novice driver in Mark's original Talon rally car. Prescribed Burn Rally will be loaning out some of their regular service crew as radio and sweep volunteers for PFR again this year, so things may be very busy around the service park. Even so everyone is welcome to stop in at parc expose or at service to say 'hi' or to check in on the team.
